Conjoint Couples Counseling
Together with Dr. Craig Moorman, I provide a unique and effective approach to doing couples counseling. We each work individually with one of the partners and then meet jointly every other session to work on the relationship directly with all four people in the room. This methodology expedites healing while offering a supportive environment for the work

Adoption and Birthparent Counseling
I provide support for individuals and couples who are considering or are currently pursuing adoption as a means of family building as well as support for birthparents prior to and following the placement of a child for adoption.

Counseling for Fertility Challenges
Invasive procedures and medications can cause feeling out of control. I provide counseling that includes strategies for coping with the stress of fertility issues, including treatment and coping methods which focus on acceptance rather than resolution for individuals encountering infertility.

Counseling for Women and Couples Facing the Challenges of Perinatal Loss, Stillbirth and/or Miscarriage
Having sustained a significant loss, grieving is a normal part of the healing process. The ordinary stages of grief are shock and denial, anger, depression, and eventual acceptance. The duration and order of each stage varies from one person to another. However, if feelings of hopelessness persist, you may wish the support of a professional therapist. I am happy to provide that support.

Counseling for Postpartum Depression
"Baby blues" usually have an onset of two to five days after delivery and end without treatment within a week or so. Women who suffer from postpartum depression are persistently depressed for more than two weeks, with typical onset occurring within the first six months after delivery. Treatment for PPD focuses on identifying symptoms, understanding issues, and preparing a plan to overcome them. I offer support and coping strategies to ease you through the transition back to health.

Counseling for Bereavement and Grief Issues
Counseling in this area focuses on the pain and sorrow that result from grievous losses, and the eventual potential of seeing the growth and wisdom that can emerge from the pain. I provide support for all types of losses. In the words of Helen Keller: "Although the world is full of suffering, it is full also of the overcoming of it."
